Figures shown are standard returns and don't include bookmaker-specific bonuses (e.g. some firms pay a bonus on a full Lucky 15/31/63 winning line, or double the odds on a Lucky 15 with a single winner). Always check your bookmaker's exact terms.

How the Bet Calculator Works

Pick a bet type, enter the odds for each selection in either fractional (5/1) or decimal (6.0) format, and mark each selection Won, Placed, Lost, or Non-Runner as results come in. The calculator generates every line in the bet — for example a Yankee generates 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold from 4 selections — and totals the stake and return across all of them, including the each-way place portion if you select it.

Bet Types Covered

Straight bets

Single, Double, Treble, and 4- to 6-fold accumulators — all selections must win for a return.

Full-cover systems

Trixie, Yankee, Canadian (Super Yankee), Heinz, Super Heinz and Goliath cover every double, treble and higher fold from your selections, with no singles.

Full-cover with singles

Patent, Lucky 15, Lucky 31 and Lucky 63 add singles to the mix, so a single winner from your selections still guarantees a return. See our Lucky 15 guide for a full breakdown.

Each-way multiples

Toggle Each Way on and pick a place fraction (1/4 or 1/5 are most common) to see the win and place portions calculated separately, exactly as a bookmaker would settle it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the horse racing bet calculator?

Choose your bet type, enter the odds for each selection, mark each selection as Won, Placed, Lost or Non-Runner once the results are known, set your stake per line, and the calculator works out your total stake, total return and profit automatically.

What is a Lucky 15?

A Lucky 15 is a 15-bet system covering 4 selections: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold accumulator. Just one winner from the four selections guarantees a return, which makes it a popular choice for each-way multiple betting.

How are non-runners handled in a multiple bet?

A non-runner is treated as a void leg and is removed from every combination it appears in, effectively reducing the size of that part of the bet. This calculator applies that standard bookmaker rule automatically when you mark a selection as Non-Runner.

Does this calculator include bookmaker bonuses?

No. Figures show standard returns only. Many bookmakers add extra bonuses to system bets like the Lucky 15, Lucky 31 or Lucky 63 — for example a bonus for all winners, or double odds on a Lucky 15 with just one winning selection — so always check your bookmaker's specific promotion terms on top of these figures.

What is the difference between a Trixie and a Patent?

Both use 3 selections. A Trixie is 4 bets (3 doubles and a treble) and needs at least 2 winners for a return. A Patent adds 3 singles on top, making it 7 bets in total, so just 1 winner is enough to get a return.
